Wish Me Luck

In a few hours, I will be going to take a look at a small mobile home (yeah, I know, mobile home in TX, typical) on a lease to own deal, and I am going to need to massively sell myself to get it. I neither have the cash or friends to lean on to help, but if I can get it, even though it's farther from work than I am now, it would be cheaper than staying in this motel that averages me a bit over $900/mth or 3/4 of my pay, and it would be mine. I don't look like much, I act even less like much, but I need this. And if I should ever opt to move out, I can always rent it out.

It's not often I'm here asking for help, I'm usually one of the biggest grrrr life sucks on the forum, but I ask for your well wishes and good hopes on this. I need to get them to understand my situation and that I coud be a very good addition to the community. If I'm not hassled and what is management's responsibility to fix gets taken care of promptly, they'll hardly know I'm around. I'm the keep to myself kind.

Wish me luck, folks. This old drake is gonna need it...

I really wish you luck. Let us know how this thing goes! A home, little or big, is always home =)

Trailers are just fine! And in parks are okay too. There is nothing wrong with it. Just make sure you loook at the rental fees, the park rules and the neibourghs next to you to see if they're the type you want to live near. Most mobile homes are not as mobile as people think. XD

Good Luck sis. I do hope you can get it, and can afford it and all the extra costs. I wish you could come up here. *hugs* tell us how it goes.

I got it! :D They were willing to work with me, and they are working on reclaiming the park. They're 'new' to the market (two years is considered new ownership unless youhave a ton of capital from the beginning) and they are proactively updating and removing bad units and the few troublemakers running around still. That to me speaks well :)

Yay glad you got it :D So is your new home actually mobile or is it a house core? :)

Technically mobile, but it doesn't have the hitch, meaning a semi would have to come and pick it up. But I got plans, ooooh do I got plans for this! Ikea is going to be my bestest friend, with decorating and upgrading! And I plan on seeing what it would take to move the laundry end of things from the bedroom (don't ask, I have no clue!) to the rather sizeable bathroom and have the bathroom readjusted to make room for the laundry hookups! I plan on taking before/after pics, even though at my current pay rate it's going to take a good while to get everything sorted out how I want it, so people can see what I've done. But I think once I'm done, it will be sooooo worth it! And it's good practice! XD
