New Vs Old (BMFM shows)

Funny thing is I kinda like the 2006 version
but I do like the old ones too,
but is the old and new Canon?
meaning are they linked together?

there some qoutes in the 2006 version that make it feel like it's canon to the old

like saying things "long time no see", "it been awhile",
or Charley is happy and surprise to see them as they never seen each other for years
and she getting bad at Vinnie becuase he never called her XD in the 2006 version.

oh later Lawrence Limburger and his men comes back lookin old school like they didn't got a make over

not like Charley and the Biker Mice they look younger and way different,
so different up grade

or heard theres gonna be a Biker Mice Movie in 2013.

I do think and feel comfortable saying that they are connected. At the very least because the storyline was under the control and direction of the same pair as the 93 version, in addition to the production company and animation studio being the same. In fact, from my point of view, when you put the visual differences aside, more is similar than different and I don't see any of the differences as being substancial, not as much as the similarities.

yeah some fans don't like the redesign look
but it got it ups and downs,

but it's like complaining about the artist,
like in SwatKats you see like 3 different art styles randomly for each episode
they can't stick with one, few episodes it looks like one style, later the next episode it looks anime,
then later the next episode they go with the old or another style again.

for the Biker Mice original show I think they kept the same artist
it just the artist got alittle better, they never change the art style they just improve it getting better
, not like what Swat Kats did

Heck Tiny Toons and Looney Tunes got at least 4-6 different art styles from different artist.

hee hee need a Biker Mice show with some anime look to it.

I didn't know SWAT KATS, Tiny Toons, and Looney Tunes had that many variations in animation/drawing style. To me, it usually looked relatively consistent.

they are canon to the series but it seems they have different artist styles to do for each episode.

so yeah the cartoons series sometimes stay with one style from one artist and they get better lookin,

or they got different artist styles from different artist's and going back and forth with them.

The modern series is meant to carry on from the 90s cartoon - the evidence you mention above, for example.  The idea is that it's years later, and the Bros have returned.  Certainly there are continuity issues, but that's not surprising.  These things happen (and let's face it, only the serious fans are really going to notice!).  The changes is design are just that - a revised look for a new series.  I don't mind them too much, although I prefer the original.

I've seen a bit of the new show

but what happen to Plutarkians on mars? And dog slavers and rat raiders??

Did they ever find Harley? The last three eps were all flashbacks of bro's past.

I think Harley kind of finds them in one ep. She's had a "bit" of a makeover.

Wish they didn't go for the redesign but I've already said my piece on the new look a few times so will spare everyone this time round. But with how many people have said they prefer the original look you almost have to wonder if the new series would have been received better if they stuck with a similar style.

I am 99% sure that if they had stuck with the original design, the new series had been received better. The largest fan base of the show are the ones that watched the original series - and they are older today than what they were back in the day. If they had stuck with the original design and worked more on the original story line, it could have generated more fans. Not only would the old fans have appreciated it, but kids who would familiarize with the new series would need to go back in time and start out with the original ones. That in turn had been a valid reason to re-release the original ones for the new audience as well as old fans, making new audience have to first go back in time and then continue with the new series = more BMFM to the world. Unfortunately, the re-design was a kick in the crotch.

I think that the differences from the original, (visual and storyline/other production aspects) aren't as big as they have been made out to be. Also, as far as claimed continuity differences, I never have recognized any. In fact, to me, other than the visual differences, the 06 version is, I would say, 95%-99% of the original as far as storyline and humor. I also do appreciate that Carbine and Stoker have bigger roles in the 06 version than in the original. The other differences I have recognized are just not a big deal to me.
