"Yeah, I get it..." Daemun replied rather bluntly with a roll of his eyes as he further noted "Like you have to remind me. It's not like I can easily forget my original intentions."

Daemun might have been acting like his usual self but apart from that it didn't seem like there was a great deal of threat coming from him. His energies were a sure indication that he wasn't at all comfortable with having to see the Doc, regardless of how and why it would happen, but it wasn't like he had much more of a choice in the matter. It seemed the more he tried to avoid it the closer it grew to actually having to do what he was trying to avoid. Maybe Daemun was hiding a fact that he was too proud to admit and that fact was made clear as he stated with a frown "I hate doctors...they creep me out..."

What's this? The brave demon mouse of shaded darkness intimidated by the good that is a doctor? It may have come accross as a bit of a surprise really considering he had been through so much and surely had seen a medic at least a few times in his life. It's kind of ironic when you think about it.

"I didn't really notice" Daemun admited with a shrug "Then again I was feeling pretty warm that night so I could of been freezing for all I know."

OOC: I see what you mean. Ah, gotcha. Sounds like a great idea! Well if you need any help I can try and help you with some ideas if you'd like? =)

"Green button...Green button..." Rav'una repeated to herself as she searched for said button, finding with a "Ah, here it is." and pressing the button to turn on the scanner, doing as explained and pointed the device at the organ. She held the scanner steady as it did what, hopefully, it's supposed to do.

She watched as Poi did what had to be done, keeping the scanner steady and thankfully Rav'una had a very steady hand indeed. All those years of training seemed to be worth a lot more than just being able to hold weapons steady and use them with great aim and precision, in particular those blades she was so good with.

"Should I just stay put and hold this then?" She asked, watching the scanner and keeping it steady.

The lift opened and they moved into it. Strike hit the button for the medical facility and as the lift made its descent, he leaned casually on the wall, a small smile playing on his face. "Doc doesn't like doctors either."

Epoch, standing by beside the door, also cracked a smile as he was reminded of this little known fact.

"Yep, that's perfect," Geiser replied, using it as a convenient excuse to shuffle closer so he could "see better" over her shoulder (he could see it fine from where he had been). Ares but he felt like a hopelessly lovestruck teenager. It was nice when he managed to forget to feel guilty about it. The scanner indicated light organ damage radiating from the point of impact, there was gashes, cuts and some deep tissue bruising around the area they were looking at, which very rapidly narrowed down to small cuts, scratches and abrasions and some light bruising. The ship had obviously been repairing itself before the section got shut down. However they still needed to do something about the mercurial blood. Left long enough it would happily eat through the circuitboards.

Geiser's comm went off. Temporarily forgetting he had his hands bandaged, he grabbed it and winced as his hand stung. Definitely hurting less. He answered.

"What's up Poi?"

"Nose is off sir," Poi answered, "I'm comin' back up."

Geiser nodded and turned the comm off, tucking it back into his pocket carefully.

"Ironic as that may be it still doesn't help my situation..." Daemun replied rather firmly, being a bit of a dampen on what would otherwise be a more amusing scene. With his arms folded and leaning back against the back wall of the lift Daemun certainly didn't look to pleased about what he acted was more like a defeat than anything.

Rav'una wasn't entirely fooled and soon revealed that she was quite aware of where Geiser was looking but rather be firm about it she simply smirked, sliding her tail teasingly between Geiser's leg and rubbing it gently along his left thigh with a purr.

"How about now?..." She asked, still keeping the scanner steady but looking at Geiser from the corner of her eyes with that teasing expression on her face. It certainly helped ease the tension she was feeling.

She quickly snapped out of it however when she noticed what the scanner picked up and she couldn't help but feel sorry for the poor ship that had been so heavily damaged by the impact. There wasn't any other way Geiser could respond to his comm and so she let the fact he used his hands slide for obvious reasons. She may be strict but she was no nazi.

"Well it certainly is obvious that they hit some vital parts of the ship...Fortunately it doesn't seem to be serious enough to cause it to...well you know...Am I right?" Rav'una asked, still watching the scanner for any other signs of further damage apart from what it had already picked up.

They hit the bottom and exited. Strike greeted the receptionist on the way past, Epoch nodded and smiled. Some of the cubicles had the curtains drawn as they contained patients, a couple of orderlies were bustling around but other than that the place was blissfully quiet.

"Doc?" Strike called as they entered the inner room.

The tall, wiry figure of Murdoc popped up from the depths of the lab, moving like he would be equally comfortable somewhere out on a battlefield as in his nice safe lab.

"Commander," he greeted, his formal tone slightly at odds with the genuine smile, "Captain. And...?"

"Commander Daemun Shade," Strike introduced.

"Commander." Doc saluted, it wasn't as crisp and formal as observed in the mech pilots, but there was the definite impression that he was almost automatically doing it as a sign of respect, not because he was wannabe military or anything silly like that.

Strike then introduced Daemun to the doctor. "Daemun, this is Murdoc. He is a doctor, but he doesn't usually use the title."

Yeh they're probably having a great time :P Now why the hell does the DPOPV have a Hollywood number if it's in Australia? :P Also apologise only has one p and disappointment one s and two ps ;)

Geiser tensed at the touch, again feeling like he was cheating on his dead wife, which was slightly stupid. He took a deep breath and exhaled slowly, feeling another course of adrenaline rushing through him, this one from allowing himself to feel pleasure from it. This put a smile on his face.

And of course Poi popped up exactly in time to shoot them both another look. She didn't even need to say anything to be mercilessly teasing, her gleeful expression was more than adequate.

"Shut up Poi," Geiser chuckled.

"Didn't say a word sir," answered Poi smugly.

"I don' even to touch you to know whatcha thinkin'. Stitch the damn thing up." Geiser grinned at Poi, who obligingly redonned her gloves and then pulled out from the toolbox something that looked quite a lot like a very large stapler. She stuck it into the hole and started stapling the gash together, the noise it made not sounding particularly pleasant. The ship didn't seem to mind.

Daemun didn't so much mind the atmosphere. He had become familiar with the medical theme of things from all the times he had visited the medic bay in the past. But it was knowing he was, without much more of an option, going to be checked that bothered him. He tried to hide it, typically so as any proud male would, but the vibe was still there and apparent.

Following Strike, Daemun observed the happenings around them without much more of a change to his expressions apart from that usual serious kind of look that he seemed to have almost permanently on his face half the time. Unless he was being a smart ass which was not uncommon but even then he tended to be blunt and just, for lack of a better term, a complete asshole about most things.

Well at least the Doc didn't seem to look all too bad. Some doctors just had that odd vibe about them Daemun didn't like but Murdoc, for some odd reason, seemed different somehow. And there it was again, being called under an official title rather than just 'Daemun Shade' only this time it wasn't met with as much surprise. Daemun was grateful, that was for sure. Seeing as Murdoc showed him some respect that did help settle things somewhat so and Daemun turned his attention with a strong salute to Murdoc and a nod to match, silently greeting him but at least he was showing respect. That was a definete plus.

For a good while Daemun remained silent after Strike introduced him to Murdoc, that eye of his thinning its pupil for a moment almost as though Daemun was looking at something in particular, perhaps indeed he was, that no one else could see and a few moments after that Daemun gave another nod.

"You're not like the others." Daemun began, firmly but with a good sign of calm "But that still doesn't mean I'm any more comfortable being around you. You're still a doctor and not that it's a bad thing, I respect the work you do. I just..." Pausing a moment Daemun looked to his side with just his eyes, his frown deep, as he added "Don't...really trust...doctors..." That was a half truth really. Again, Daemun was just too proud to admit the whole truth.

OOC: I'm sure they are. Lucky bastards =P. Uh...*shifty eyes* Because...er...that way they make more money from your phone bills? XD! And thanks for clearing that up. I suck at spelling, lol. But then again, hoo kneeds spelink aniwaies! =P

Meanwhile...

Rav'una was becoming bolder with her actions with each passing hour. And to think they only just officially became lovers and already she was teasing Geiser like they have been together for years. Even Poi's reaction to the whole thing didn't seem to bother Rav'una this time around and the kind of smirk she threw at Poi was that of a level of pride and accomplishment of sorts. She aimed to please and pleased she did.

Despite the situation Rav'una couldn't help but chuckle at the way Geiser responded to Poi's reaction though she settled soon enough as she watched Poi stable the wound of the ship together. Even Rav'una had to admit that sound was far from pleasant and she gave a small expression of disgust at the sound. Ironic coming from a professional assassin who's probably heard worse in her time, if not then close to it.

"So what should I do with this then?" She asked, pointing at the scanner she still had in her hands, assuming they were probably finished with it but not assuming it needed to be put away just yet. Better to make sure than to just throw out a wild guess and make a mistake after all.

Murdoc cocked his head slightly as he saw the slit eye in action. It reminded him of the other demon, from long ago. He wasn't sure what the other scientists had been thinking when they summoned it, what they hoped to achieve. He'd treated it with a healthy dose of respect, and been extremely wary of its gilded tongue and its tempting promises. Maybe that was why, when it had finally and somewhat predictably managed to possess someone, it had passed him and the slaves/experiments over in its rage-filled rampage.

He could see the simmeering rage, kept well in check, at least for now.

"That's okay," Murdoc said, his lyrical accent soothing, "All I'm going to do is see how much of a grip you have on yourself. Unfortunately it's something that has to be done. If you think I'm probing too deep you tell me and we stop. I don't like doing things that makes people uncomfortable. Or in your case more uncomfortable than they already are." He smiled slightly and motioned for them to follow him into one of the inner rooms.

-=o=-

"Keep it on," Geiser replied, "we'll do another few scans later. But you can put it down. It's a bit clunky."

Poi finished up stapling and brought up the now bloodied stapler.

"If you'd like to help, Rav'una, we'd appreciate it if you could put on some gloves and disinfect the stapler," Geiser said. He realised what his tail was doing suddenly but opted not to stop it from curling loosely around her waist as he spoke to her. "Poi, check the boards closely."

Poi put the stapler down and started closely examining the boards she'd pulled up, looking for any tiny fissures they might have missed.

Though hard it may be to believe even after such a long time that had passed Daemun was still able to pick up on some kind of energy that the demon had left behind. In some, or most cases, a demon leaves behind a kind of "imprint" wherever they go. Only other demons and the very few gifted who are able to see beyond a demon's disguise, as for example Daemun's mouse form which was technically a disguise for the demon side of him and vise versa, where able to pick it up. Though it was faint, it was still there, like a fading aura off somewhere close. When given respect for the most part a demon returns the favor. When given something that could benefit it a demon gladly takes the offer. Murdoc was probably just lucky enough to have earned a level of respect to be spared.

Murdoc's reaction to his eye made it obvious to Daemun that Murdoc had seen stuff like this before. Still, Daemun's confidence in the whole matter wasn't as strong as it should be and far from that usual confidence he carried around so proudly. The thing with the demon side of Daemun is that it thrived on anger and rage, fighting, battles, things of that nature which is why it was so effective in a battlefield. Much like Sydonai who thrives on all things dark and they both shared in common that this was all also able to be controlled. Well Daemun's demon side was a little more wild than the mysterious and somewhat more civilized Sydonai.

For a while there Daemun remained silent, as though giving himself a moment to annaylize what had just been said for his sake, before then giving his response with a grunted "Fine."

"We have an agreement then. You do your thing and don't you worry, I'll let you know if I need to stop."

With that he proceeded to follow.

Meanwhile...

With a nod Rav'una left the scanner on and placed it down gently on the floor/roof beside her before standing fully and looking over at the stapler when Geiser told her what she could do to help. But before she could say some smart ass remark in regards to that she barely opened her mouth with a smirk before her sentence was put to a stop, her expressions turning to more of a surprise before she looked down with a blink or two at the tail now wrapped around her waist. With a playfully teasing smile she reached up behind her and gently brushed palm accross the side of Geiser's jaw line as she gave her response.

"I would love to but something seems to be holding me back" She smirked, reaching down with her other hand as she gently pet Geiser's tail.

Murdoc waited until Daemun had preceded him into the room, then turned to the other two. "Strike, you wait out here," he instructed. He then looked to the antsy looking youth. "Epoch, you'll know if you're needed." He smiled calmly. Epoch's muzzle wrinkled slightly, not liking the idea of leaving anyone alone with Daemun, even if he was in the next room. Hell he didn't even like his little sister being alone with him and she could at least handle herself in this sense.

Strike on the other hand knew exactly why he was being told to wait outside. He parked himself on Murdoc's chair, settling down to wait for however long it was going to take. Epoch glanced around until he found an edge of a desk clear enough to accommodate his butt and perched there, arms folded.

Seeing them settling, Murdoc stepped in after Daemun and closed the door behind him. "Commander Strike and Captain Epoch are waiting outside," he said, unnecessarily. "Take a seat, sir." Murdoc motioned to the comfortable looking chair in front of the desk in the room. The only item on the desk was a certain Psion orb, now with a new crack, that a certain someone had already been in contact with earlier. Murdoc hopped up onto the desk on the same side as Daemun so there was nothing between them. He would have much preferred the Psion orb be whole and complete, especially when he knew he was dealing with a demon, but beggars couldn't be choosers and he figured he would cope.

ooc - just occurred to me, at least my bunch of mice do the whole psychic sex/shared orgasm thing, figured Derek and Byte would probably have had a few of those by now, although wondering if Byte would have come across Sydonai while they were getting it on, and what if anything may have transpired, just need to know for "tomorrow morning" ;)

-=o=-

Geiser squeezed his tail posessively, an evil little smile showing just briefly on his face. "You're plenty close enough to the toolbox," he pointed out. Rav'una was still within easy arm's reach of the toolbox from when she had settled where she was to get and use the scanner. Still, he figured she maybe objected and reluctantly loosened his tail.

"This one's a writeoff." Poi moved one of the boards an obvious distance from the hole. "Thought it was salvageable but the blood's damaged the entire back." She started checking the other one. "This one's all right. Needs some rewelding." Poi reached back in through the hole and started undoing some of the boards surrounding the newly stitched up gash.

Daemun took a moment to glance over his shoulder at the two waiting outside, giving them both a single nod as though to say there was nothing for them to worry about and as a brief farewell before turning to head into the room, waiting inside and turning to Murdoc once he stepped in and had shut the door behind them.

"I can already tell Epoch isn't liking that" Daemun responded rather firmly, his words simple and to the point. When asked to sit Daemun at first was going to insist that he'd be fine standing up but since he wasn't sure how long he was going to be here for he decided better of that option and sat himself down, getting himself comfortable before that certain orb caught his attention. That crack in it was what particularly catching his attention. Whatever had caused that crack was something more than just your average demon. Especially in the way that crack had formed and no doubt it was caused by some level of high energy or something to that extent. Though before Daemun could dive too deeply into a conclusion he snapped right out of it as Murdoc walked over to Daemun's side of the desk, in turn Daemun's attention going to Murdoc instead.

"What's with the orb?" Daemun finally asked, briefly nodding his head at the direction of the orb before bringing his focus back to Murdoc in wait for an answer.

OOC: XD! I'm sure they've have multiple of them by now, yeah. Hmm, actually that's a good question. I think Sydonai would actually respect Derek's privacy but "help" with the intensity of...things in general. But apart from possibly sensing anything it's hard to say in Derek's case. I would say at this stage probably not, mainly due to the fact it's kind of still a fresh thing for Derek so Sydonai isn't about take any risks. If he did emerge though it was probably through energies and small effects on the shadows of the room and the likes. Apart from that I'd say that's about it. Unless you had an idea you wanted to use?

However if Derek...you know...into Byte then that could carry onto any child, if one, but otherwise if none obviously nothing.

Meanwhile...

"Oh I am all too aware of how close to one tool box in particular I am too" Rav'una teased with another cheeky little smirk.

With that, and Geiser tail loosening from her waist, she went ahead and put on the needed gloves and then took the blood covered stapler, along with some cleaning gear which happened to be conveniently handy, and started to clean the stapler as she listened to Poi's conclusions in regards to the parts and such.

"Sounds to me like we have been reasonably fortunate with all things considered" She noted as she wiped down the medical stapler.
