Hey to everybody with taste enough to still like the Biker Mice! :)

Greeting's from Scotland. My names Mel, and here's a little bit about me.

I like good music; Calvin Harris of course, gotta support the local boys :) Kings of Leon, The Killers and Lifehouse to name just a few, did like Twilight but I've kind of got to that stage where I've outgrown it. Robert Pattinson however is one cool guy..anyhoo.. I also like being sociable, anything with swearing, and the sound of Thottle's voice ;) haha. And of course the other fantastic two that make up The Biker Mice and they're awesome mechanic Charley-girl. Throttle's the mouse though. That's just my opinion! don't want to annoy anybody if anyone's didicated enough to lose thier sh*t over that lol... I'm currently taking a year out from uni where I'm going to study English, hope to move onto prison eduction once I graduate.

I first watched the Biker Mice when I was about 6 or 7 when I found one dusty old tape of a season 2 boxset at the bottom of my warbrobe. I can't count how many times I must have watched those same four or so episodes until I was about 12. I had forgotten all about the series until recently when me and some friends were having a drunken conversation about what cartoon's we watched when we were little, and I remembered, shame I can't recall what happened to that tape though. I searched and found a few episodes on youtube that are in English, although the vast majority are dubbed over in different languages, which is a travesty since the audible greatness that is Rob Pauslen voice-ing Throttle isn't there, already mentioned that though, so moving swiftly on. I had been so out of touch with the series that I didn't even know there was a 2006 sequal, watched and enjoyed some of those too, but the remake has nothing on the original series in my opinion, the new charecter designs are dreadful and the series just isn't quite the same without The Big Cheese, missed Karbunkle and Greasepit aswell, and that huge arsed bafoon with the cat army that replaced them is just irritating.

Still, watching them was enough to convince me to join some kind of fansite, so here I am. Haven't had enough like for a series to do this since Lost. I'm yet to re-watch any of that since that absolutely terrible ending. I didn't really care much for how the science fiction parts turned out, since biker mice is the only science fiction show that I really like. But Sawyer and Kate are just meant to be together, and should have been been end game before the series finshed. BIG mistake on part of the writers for keeping epic true love apart, idiots. Anyway bitter Skate rant over, I've noticed a few couple threads and things here and there on this site for biker mice charecters. You've got the obvious canon ones like Vinnie with Charley and Throttle with Carbine. There's only a few hints of it in the show, but I've always liked the idea of Throttle and Charley being together, I think thier chemistry is great. Anyone else on this boat with me or am I just sinking?

To begin wrapping this up before it becomes an essay, I'd just like to say I think this is a great fandom so thanks to the people who took the time to create it and those who currently manage it. Compared to the mostly dross and bullsh*t cartoons they show kids these days, the 90's cartoons are miles better with the Biker Mice I think being the best of them. The current fandom does seem quite small, so hopefully the rumors for a 2013 Biker Mice movie are true! Hopefully nostalgia will hit audiences and they'll join everyone here to carry on the loyalty and support you all show for this series.

Before I go, I've got a few joining presents for everyone. I haven't drawn anything since I quit my Art class for more English in High School. I couldn't draw a bowl of fruit of fruit to save my life, and my attempts at vase's and other still life were equally sh*t. Turns out my drawings of cartoons are just slightly better, this is the first time I've drawn anything for a fandom so hope everyone likes them. I've tried to figure out how to post something in the fan art section and it seems quite complicated so failing that i'll post them as an attachment in this thread :) I'm sorry if that's not allowed since uploads are supposed to be tagged for suitablility and things. The pictures don't contain enything explict or someting I think needs to be rated. One set depicts two charecters in a romantic way the other has the boys showing of thier muscles, that's all.

Hope everyone had a fantastic new year :) And I know everyone says it but "Ride free citezens!"

Welcome aboard, and the submissions may take a bit of time, but it's always worth it. And, if you are like me, with spotty internet connection, Torama set things up so you can even submit via phone! :D

Hey thanks so much to everybody for the kind welcome :) So suprise suprise the newbie's having problems already. I've got my 'You box' now for uploading so thanks to Whipblade for setting me up with that. I have figured out how to upload fan art,  it's pretty straightforward, but the sketches I'm trying to upload exceed the 2 MB limit so I can't post them. Does anyone know if there is anyway that I  can reduce the MB or some other way I can post them? Would be very greatful for any advice, cheers :)

Ideally, I'd have my drawings posted here but I have however uploaded those same drawing to a thread on fan-pop if anyone's interested in seeing them before I get this sorted out.

Here's the link, please comment and let me know what you think! Only just started to look through some of the art work here and it's all amazing :o so hope these can meet the standards!

No I don't but I think you can get free versions of it from thier website or somewhere. They'll have limited use if it's not the bought version but it may do the job, i'll try that. Thanks :) Thanks for that aswell hope you like them. I think I do have a deviant art account but I haven't used it for ages so I've forgotten all the details. If I can't recover them I'll just make another one anyway :)

Welcome on board :)

Grab The Gimp, it's free and good (unless you're using 2.8.2 on OSX Lion in which case it seems to occupy all of the hard drive space with swap files, or perhaps it's just me that it hates, anyway my 2.6 X11 requiring Gimp still functions).  I'll check the back end at some stage, sounds like I need to modify something in the workflow.
