biker mice from mars has been ruined. the new characters suck and modo\'s bike is rubbish. and charley isnt allowed to ride a bike... u hav ruined my life. throttle was never the \'leader\' as such either. they were a team. did i already say i hated you. and your family.
...
Charley rode a bike in the -first- series. :| (And I thought Throttle was always the leader...)
I know that alot of people have complained about the changes when I showed them what the new series looked like, but not to the point of saying they hated the people working on it. :P
I'd ignore this guy too. I have to admit, I was reeeally skeptical when I first saw the new design of the bro's and their bike, but it has grown on me to the point where I don't think about the differences at all now.
So Modo's got a trike now instead of a bike, big deal - a lot changes in ten years, and it's still well drawn, just in a different style.
Obviously Charley HAS to ride bikes, it's a major part of being a 'wrench jockey' - you've got to ride it to make sure it works properly.
And Throttle has always been the leader, regardless of however unofficial his status was. Yes they're a team, but doesn't every team have to have a leader?
To be honest, the guy sounds like a middle-aged teenager with a bad attitude, who didn't pay attention in english. From what I've seen on the guestbook, his comment has been well outweighed by all the comments praising the show since the new series aired.
Oh, good grief, what utter nonsense. BMFM was (and continues to be in the new series) a great show; okay, so they don't like the new series - but that fact has ruined their life?!
I've seen this all before - when they brought Doctor Who back last year there were some of the fans of the classic series who had been campaigning for its return for years and then started throwing their toys out of the pram because of some minor changes to the look and style. At the same time there were some just out to cause trouble for their own twisted enjoyment.
That, I suspect, is what you have here - someone who knows about the fan-base and thinks it's clever and hilarious to pretend to be an outraged member of that group.
"charley isnt allowed to ride a bike"
Do they mean that you haven't let Charley ride a bike, or that they don't believe she should be allowed to? In either case, they're talking out of the place where the sun shineth not. And that statement can't relate to the first episode anyway, since unless I missed something Charley isn't in the first episode.
Hey ho. I would ignore them; they probably won't bother in the future if they don't get a reaction.
u hav ruined my life
???
 how can this be possible, since the poster so clearly has never had a life?
No one who has actually been living in the real world (and is presumably over the age of consent ( :o ) since the poster implies he saw the original BMFM series) could think such lame-brain thoughts, let alone allow them out unsupervised in public.
The new series is still bedding in but already has many extremely strong points, not least a more profound plotline than many of the old episodes. It's kept its wonderful scripts, especially the 24-carat humour with its side-swipes at other comics/toons etc, and the terrible, groan-inducing puns (love 'em!)
Re the neg comments about the characters...
Do you think the poster is having a go about the reworking of the core characters? Because yes, the bros look different but they're still the same brill characters as ever (with the same gorgeous voices!) and that's, after all, the bedrock of BMFM.
*whispers quietly* I have to say I do prefer the facial characterising of the 93-96 vintage bros, but then those are faces that I've known for 13 years so I'm terribly, terribly biased.
Or do you think the poster doesn't approve of the new additions? If so, he needs to take a better look at Cataclysm, who's an excellent scary villain and Hairball who has the inflated ego and mania of the best comic tyrants.
... do you know, I don't think this poster thinks at all. Or ever has done. If Criterion hadn't been bothered enough to quote it, I'd have classified it as simple trollery fit only to be ignored.
And on that note... I shall sign off!
I congratulate Joe for not only being clueless, but also for his excellent English. I also thank Joe for bringing me a smile and for making a fool out of himself on the officially nominated BMFM board just in time when Australia and Finland are about to have the new episodes aired. I'm very sure that Joe will bring a smile to many of those fans ;)
Anyway, I would ignore this person. The post is anything but serious. It's a whine and his opinion... or it could just be some Internet troll trying to start a flamewar.
"u hav ruined my life"... 'nuff said... but hey... thanks for the laugh, Joe! ;)
You finally got a completely pointless negative comment, congratulations ;)
Now excuse me while I laugh maniacally at it P
Wow... one rant... Is that only the top of a huge dark number of dissapointed people? Oh yes... in truth are it 2! :D
I would say, even if it are more, , someone who says that his life is ruined about a cartoon series, how serious can someone like that be taken?
Um, guys, really. How much bad stuff did you from us while just teasing us with the new stuff, and we're on your side?
As long as the ratings are good, this shouldn't matter much.

did i already say i hated you. and your family.
Thanks for the laughs of the month Joe :D
*sarcastic laugh* What a laugh... what life? He obiviously doesn't even have one, either that or he doesn't realize it, yet.
Don't let such negative comments as that ((using such hurtfully/offensive rude remarks as "did I already say I hated you and your family.")) ruffle you. Don't take it too seriously; ignore it, and get on with your life.
Everyone here is right beside you ;)
As most people here have said, it is obvious that Joe has put little thought into what he is saying.
I enjoy the new episodes just as much as the original ones.
Crud there's no edit button?!? I accidently mistook the name "Joe" as Criterion's signed name *major anime sweatdrop* *scratches off that name from her previous post in vain*
Yes, I'm an American, but I have seen clilps of the new series and I've got mixed feelings about it. Part of me wants to see the new series, just to see what it's like. Sadly, another part of me is raging mad.
First of all, they completely changed the characters, especially throttle, stoker, and pretty much all the females in that show. Not only that, the new series seems to be rather stereotypical and slightly sexist.
Nearly every female I saw so far had been far too skinny, which is not realistic at all or healthy. Not to mention, they are lacking breasts, curves, and normal anatomy. Then most of them are dressed in very tight clothes, trying to show something off that they don't have.
What are you trying to do to the younger members of society? Are you trying to say that they HAVE to be skinny and compete with one another to fit into a size zero and eventually die of starvation?
Please. Bring back the old female anatomy and practical fashion. Bring back the muscle in males. Make them healthier again. While it's understandable that the characters probably weakened over time and are hungry, it still doesn't mean that you can go ahead and play right into the unhealthy body trends of today. That is not okay. And to be honest, fashion sense and bikes haven't changed too much after ten years looking at this in a realistic perspective. Look around you. Does it look like that the world has stepped into the set of the Jetsons? I think not. Everyone's still wearing t shirts, jeans, and dresses- whatever fits their style. Everyone has a laptop or a basic looking bike t hat may have beefed up over time with some bits of updated technology. Cars are still looking pretty much the same, only shinier.
The second season would be a good opportunity to make those changes again, or perhaps the movie that was talked about. Then the old fans may return and draw in new ones...
*seconds Midnight*
I've tried in vain to 'get used to' the new designs and they just don't sit well with me. (See my previous comment about my current abuse of antacids. I wasn't joking about that one. I did have to go dose myself after seeing what happened with Harley's design.)
And seriously...sometimes it seems like the guys are just -mean-. :\
I like how the storyline is going from the few episodes I've watched. There's a few inconsistancies in the animation, like in the episode with that lizard guy where the guys go rescue Stoker (underground). I also don't know what happened to everyone's legs and Carbine's boobs (is she that flat chested?).
I'm really liking the new series though. Need an animator? I graduated from the Joe Kubert School of Cartooning in May 2006 with a tech degree in 2D Animation.
I gotta admit, it took a while...but I'm getting to like the new style animation. I'll always prefer the first, but this new style is starting to grow on me.
Okay, I don't like the new series that much either, only the story line for so far and Stoker (guys look better when getting older) But that aside.
biker mice from mars has been ruined. the new characters suck and modo\'s bike is rubbish. and charley isnt allowed to ride a bike... u hav ruined my life. throttle was never the \'leader\' as such either. they were a team. did i already say i hated you. and your family.
Let’s analyse this! (and forget the grammar and spellingcheck for a second or two, mine isn't to good either)
biker mice from mars has been ruined.
he doesn't like the new series. that's clear. He could have used less rough language to make his point clear.
the new characters suck and modo\'s bike is rubbish.
that's already said my friend. he doesn't like the series. and modo's bike is rubbish, yeah, if you don't like the series, even modo's bike is rubbish. duh.
and charley isnt allowed to ride a bike...
Like this is the end of the world... she drives a huge truck called road train. I believe it's harder to drive than to drive a bike.
u hav ruined my life.
I know a shrink or two willing to help this guy.
throttle was never the \'leader\' as such either. they were a team.
In teams there is supposed to be a leader, someone has to be or the team is useless.
did i already say i hated you. and your family.
That is soooooooo not neccesary. That critirion did something wrong in the eyes of this reviewer is fine. but please leave the death threats and boobytraps and the "I kill you's" out of here. That's very naughty and so not needed to tell someone that you don't like that person nor his/her actions.
Overall: I do hope that this person was just very angry or emotional at the moment of posting this PM/review/whatever and that this person will not act like this in normal day life or this person will not live a happy life because of his actions...
Consequenses: someone's actions cause other person's reactions and feelings. Criterion is a unhappy because of it, and that's because of the behaviour of the reviewer. That caused this topic in which several people already said what they thought about this person.
end of analysis...
I do know a lot of people lurk around my SWAT Kat forum who don't like the new series (one of them has referred to it as a train wreck. Ouch.). At all. It's just that it's almost like people are afraid to -say- they don't like it.
I don't like the things they've done with it (changing the bros, the bikes, etc.), but I still think that making threats and telling people you hate them is just -petty-.
..just want to point out here, in the opening theme.. Charley is riding a bike...
on the back of Throttle's toy as well as original websites Throttle has always been the 'unoffical leader' of the bmfm.
This guy, who is short a few IQ points BTW, is just a tred.
'Nuff said.
BTW: Joe... u have to have a life before it can be ruined.
:P Thanks for the days funny Citerion!
While I don't see the point of responding to the original year-old thread, I do want to say that there really are more people out there who don't like the new version of the series, they're just afraid to say it.
(I know because a few of them hide out on my SWAT Kats forum. One of them actually referred to it as a 'train wreck' today. :|)
[edit]
But to clarify...none of them have ever said their lives were going to end over it. Just expressed a deep disappointment in it.
Ye know what I got to say on that one? He needs a life, he needs a hobby, and here's hoping he's not breeding!
Gods, if he tried to stir up the fecal matter, all he's done is proven that the REAL fans are fiercely loyal to both, design discrepancies/updates aside. The stories are still good and sound, the cheesy lines still have me either laughing my fool tail off or hiding my head, and the fierce loyalty the Bikers show is STILL something we should take to heart!
Joe, whoever ye are, bite me and get ready for a 9 1/2 boot to yer jaw afterwards! :P
...he's probably long gone by now. *points out that the original post is well over a year old* (Specifically a year and three months at this point.)
So there's not much use in yelling at someone who was probably gone ten minutes after that post. (Unless, of course, they were trolling, which isn't unheard of.)
I wouldn't say that I'm 'fiercely' loyal to the new series (old series -yes-...new series...meh.)...I'm more like a vulture...picking it's bones.
LOL...I need a picture to put that on..."I'm on yer tv series, pickin' yer bones."
*goes back to picking picking picking* ;)
I agree completely with Midnight , I can't get used to the new series as much as I love them, and I think women should be WOMEN, not that anorexic type of females they show in this and another cartoons from this century, I'm still a big fan from tha old series forever n_n but that did not ruin my life and I don't hate the producers or whatever, that's crazy u__u go see a shrink will you? and learn a little grammar for goodness sake!
I'll reserve my coments on the new series, till I get to see something else than the posts on the official site and such (which could take more than a few years, believe me, waaay more than wherever any of you are).
Anyway, this I can say, my first impression was of shock at their new designs and all that which more experienced people has already pointed out. HOWEVER, while I certainly fancy better the old designs, I also really like the characters, their voices, speeches and deeds. And honestly, how could I say that I love them, and then turn them down only because something happened to their looks? (and I meant it, since their new looks are the only thing I could express any opinion at the present moment)
What I really want to say is that, no, I don't like what I've seen until now, BUT... I can only be grateful that they're back and kicking. I'm thankful, because no matter how, you brought them back, and for that, I won't complain about how you did it (for now =P)
Indeed. Wait until you've seen it. *has, and still isn't really happy with it*
I dunno. The design is off, don't get me wrong, but the heart of the beast is still there. If the heart's still true, does it matter the external skin?
If the heart's still true, does it matter the external skin?
Well, when the skin is all you've got... I mean, at the present, all I can do is watch their pictures T_T of course it'll help if I could see them in action... BTW, I seem to recall someone was posting the new episodes description, very detailed and even with dialogues, what happen with that? I was very happy reading Stoker's extremely thorough episode guide on the old series, and it would be very merciful if someone retake it with the new one, don't you think?
Very much so! I can only catch bits and pieces on **glances at Criterion** YouTube, and those are at best spotty with sound. But from what I've seen, I'm still happy, even with the changes.
Then again, I'm easy to please, it would seem... ^-^;;;

That "someone" is probably me. I do did write those spoilers for a while, but unfortunately, work and other projects have prevented me to continue doing so for the past while. Writing one such episode description (also known as spoiler) takes hours and lots of work. Unfortunately, I don't have that time to spare at the moment. There is a chance that I will take on that job again later on when I have the time to do those quality spoilers, but for now, I would recommend everyone who are interested to buy the available DVD's. They can be easily ordered from i.e. Amazon.com. Just make sure that you got a region free DVD-player and you should have no problems with enjoying the content of the spoilers in the way it should be done :)

I'd say.. just ignore this guy. I wouldn't be much impressed with such bad usage of the language (which is even his native tongue!) and not constructing his criticism.
I can surely handle critiques, but I wouldn't be really impressed with this... message.
And what's the fuzz about Charley not allowed to ride a motorcycle? I haven't seen anything which would relate to such statement.
Anyway, this is just one negative message.. against a few hundred?
Life's not perfect, so is any series... *shrug* oh well :)
The baddest mammajamma of Mars!
