Hi all,
on the old board we asked for a bit of help last year on confirming local territory names for the key characters.
We need help again. We are looking to know if translations were made of "Mice" & "Martian Fredom Fighters" in the local language dubs. This is for the PS2 & NDS game scripts.
The languages/dubs we need to check on are
French,
Italian,
Spanish
Italian,
Danish,
Swedish &
Finnish.
But info for other languages is welcome.

I imagine that "mice" was translated to "souris" in French, but I've never seen the show in that language so feel free to ignore me. However, the title was translated to Les motards de l'espace, which translates to "the motorcyclists from space". Based on that oh so catchy title, I really wouldn't be sure. In all most likelihood "mice" was translated, but I have no idea whatsoever about "Martian Freedom Fighter". Sorry.

We've got everything we need except Martian Freedom Fighters - & indeed you guys have probably named some of the new characters for us in your languages - thanks Ana!

(By the way Ayumi I agree that we should try and stick with one set of names - but learning languages would have been much easier for everyone if it had been Spanish, not English!)
(Shasta we now know the Mice were simply referred to as Les Motards in French just as they were mostly The Bros in English.)

Well, never quite heard what was the real name, but I guess it was "Marssin Vapaustaistelijat" tai " Marssin Vastarinta joukot".

Almost certainly in 2007 - we are meeting with the probable German broadcaster in the first week of October.

I wonder if they will change Throttle's name again.
In the old show had they re-named him with Rico.
And I can imagine why. The name Throttle sounds similiar to "Trottel" which means idiot or moron. Not quite fitting for the chef-mouse, right? ^^;
