Has anyone else purchased this DVD? I must say that I was rather disappointed by this DVD. There was a lot of material that was edited from the individual episodes. I don't know if Exposure Entertainment plans to release season 2 or 3 of the original series on DVD. For anyone interested, the DVD is available on amazon.com or ebay.
It requires effort and they're not likely to put a lot in if they don't think they're going to get an appreciable return. Such are companies, which is why people like me are spiritually rich but financially strapped ;)
Yes, I bought the DVD. I too noticed some lines cut from the original storylines that I remember. I also compared it to some of the videos I own, and confirmed what was missing. However, my tapes, sadly enough, are deteriorating quickly, and even those newly opened by me are not in the best shape. The DVD does give a good quality picture, and the soundtrack rocks just as hard as I remember.
If it wasn't illegal, I'd burn copies of it and put my own extras in. (Character bios, gadget/gizmo lists, villian profiles, and at least one of the interveiws with the producer.) (Sighs) If only.
But hey, if they put out seasons 2 and 3, believe me, I'll be first in line to buy them. I actually heard rumors that they don't intend to release them, so I'm praying I'm wrong.
I doubt they're release seasons 2 and 3 on dvd, if the original company couldn't even be bothered to release more than the first season episodes on VHS years ago.
Personally I'd say I've seen enough of the first few episodes - since I know some of those episodes bY HEART now. It's the 2nd and 3rd seasons I wanna see more of. espeically since we were right in the middle of a two-part episode when the show was taken off the air. -_-''
I have a horrible feeling that Seasons 2 and 3 will be released, but still hoping as it's probably the only way I'm going to see most of them.
Wait. A horrible feeling that they will be released? You don't want to? Why not? I would really love to see those seasons again, (preferably in English, as some things are sadly lost in translation to Finnish).
D'oh! That should have read "a horrible feeling that they will NOT be released". Sorry for the confusion!

No, but I'd like to. Where can I find it/them.
*looks at the bottom of the post and baps self* Never mind, I see what you wrote now.
As I'm concerned from all the comments above, those DVDs contents is identical to UK official DVDs, so from my point of view it's better to buy UK DVDs, which are PAL (instead of Exposure Entertainment's NTSC), so they have a higher resolution (720*576 PAL instead of 720*480 NTSC) and are closer to original FILM source. NTSC is useless in that case 'cause the original temporal resolution of BMFM was 24fps, so NTSC's 29.97fps doesn't add any useful information to video, but results in a smaller image...
All of that is true, however, not everyone can playback PAL discs in the states.
Well, I don't know about USA, but in Russia I have never seen a non-multisystem VHS or DVD player :) Except only for some very-very old models :) I thought all new DVD players play both PAL and NTSC...
Anyhow, you can play everything on PC :)
It is possible, innuficcrzy, to put videos into your computer. I, unfortunately, do not know how, but it would be possible to put your fading VHS taps into your computer, then you could clean them up, insert the missing lines and such! :-)

That is right what I am doing ;) Buing different DVDs, finding old tape recordings and combining it all to achieve the best possible quality of both audio and video :)

that's weird usually companies put MORE in the DVD's compared to the tv episodes.
