Modo knew deep in his heart of hearts that what Charley said was right.
Modo: I'm sorry Miss Charley ma'am, it's just that when Throttle told me about you and Matt, it kinda brought the raw memory of Vinnie back to the front of my mind, at that precise moment you were Vinnie's wife again and I hated you both for having what I saw as an affair, now that I've had a reality check, I see how much you still love Vinnie and the fact that you are now with Matt won't change that. I hope that you can both accept my sincere apologies?
Modo now looked at Matt, who was still quivering after nearly being blown to smithereens by the grey mouse. Matt had suffered many injuries in the explosions, fortunately none of them were life threatening. Modo asked Charley to get a first aid kit, Charley did as Modo had asked and returned with the first aid kit and began to attend to Matt's injuries.
Modo: Please let me patch Matthew up, after all, it was me that caused the injuries in the first place, so it should be me to repair the damage.
Charley did not argue the point, she just calmly handed Modo the medical kit and left them both together, something to do with male bonding.
Modo: Matt, I'm sorry for what I've done to you, but let me make one thing clear to you, you now know what will happen if you ever hurt Miss Charley, do I make maself clear?
Matt: Clear as crystal.
After the events of the day everyone was feeling hungry and tired, so we all went back to the house for dinner and then bed. With Matthew now being given the green light by all the bro's it had been agreed that he would be permitted to sleep in Charley's room. We were all going to need a good nights sleep as I had planned one hell of a party for the following day, it would be a double celebration, a proper welcome to your new home for the guys, and a celebration of Charley finding a new partner.
I knew that either Modo or Throttle would have given Matthew the 'If You Ever Hurt Charley' speech but I decided that I would add my own variation, just so that we were all perfectly clear about what would happen if he ever did hurt her.
