This is such a no-brainer I feel bad writing about it. Seems to be requisite for the "just in case" factor though.

Hate: Just don't, unless you want your ignorant close-minded self laughed off the Planet.

Language: English until I work out how internationalisation works, then it might not matter.

Swearing: If you must, use *s. Exceptions made for roleplay posts, fics and art.

Offence caused by other members: If someone is giving you a hard time, please report them to an admin via PM before engaging in a flame war.

"Necro-posting": This means resurrecting old posts. Check the timestamp at the top of the post. If the thread has been inactive for a while, leave it alone. The reason I haven't implemented auto-closers is every once in a red moon or so there is a perfectly legitimate reason to revive an old topic.

Your account and you

Naming "policy": We don't actually have one, but if you're silly enough to name yourself after medication or an appliance or look like you've randomly mashed the kayboard to come up with a username, we may mistake you for a spambot and react accordingly, unless of course you can convince us that you are in fact sentient AND intelligent (logging in within the day of registration would be a good start ;)

Name changes: I may be convinced to allow these at a later date. In the meantime, think long term.

Signatures: If you want to link to something that isn't Biker Mice related and isn't a personal website, let us know. Images aren't allowed but pretty much anything else goes.

Private messages: If someone reports being harrassed by private message, I will dig into the bowels of the database to see if this is true. Database mining makes T cranky and cranky Ts can be unpredictable.

Profile information: The profile shows exactly as much as you want it to show, you don't have to fill in all the fields if you don't want to. Admins can see your age whether you hide it or not, but we're on a need to know basis for purposes of access to mature content.
