My sister,Arianna, wound up going to court and fighting her case out in front of a judge who ruled in her favor. Poor Arianna kept having to wait while her boss's lawyer kept asking for 'a few more days' to 'get things and witnesses' in order. Finally she called me yesterday morning and squealed 'I got my job back with an drastic increase in pay and bonuses! My boss? He was fired by corporate for being discriminating and the four fat ladies? They're gone too! Merideth broke her left leg doing something and the other three rolled in in electric wheel chairs because their bodies couldn't keep them up on their feet due to the increase of weight demands. There's a new Store Manager, totally awesome security to make up for the dude that swiped a tv,vcr/dvd/dvd-r/cd-r/cdr-w player that I got blamed for! So now I get paid what I was supposed to be getting paid and now I get all my bonuses that were given to the four fat cows!' As happy as I was for her, I was half awake wanting nothing more then to lay back down on my nice soft comfy bed and go back to sleep. I have to stop agreeing to stupid ideas my husband comes up with! More on that in a new post kay?

Last Thursday my younger sister Arianna calls me but since I was busy prepping supper with hubby I had her on speaker and she's all giggles to the point I had to tell her to settle, once she'd settle she says 'I got fired!' and I said 'Fired? For what? Why's that so funny?' and she belts out between fits of giggles 'Because apparently I'm too fast at taking orders,ringing out customers and serving food! My boss got too many complaints from the other Waitresses on my shift that I'm always serving customers their food,giving them their bills,cashing them out,cleaning up the tables and serving the next set of customers. They want me to slow down to their pace!' So my husband who knew what a pain in the ass the older wait staff can be says 'Yeah I was fired from my first Wait Job for those reasons too also for the fact that I was too thorough AND my handwriting was far too clear! Kaitie was terminated because she cared too much about the seniors and allowed them to take their time counting out their change to pay their bills.'

I had NO idea that you could be terminated for being too fast,thorough or caring! Apparently it happens since my sister just lost her job of five years for being too fast,thorough,kind,caring and neat! What is IT with employers these days?! I mean seriously! The first thing they ask in the post-hiring questioning is 'Are you fast on your feet? Are you thorough? Kind and Caring towards senior citizens and those with special needs? Do you keep your station clean?' But yet after two complaints from two of the older obese waitresses my sister lost her job of five years! All because two obese waitresses couldn't move without stopping to regain their breath and were out maneuvered by a younger,slimmer waitress who does her job faster and better then they do!

Where's the reward in getting someone the seniors have come to like over five years fired because seniors ask for Arianna by name and because she's faster,neater and more efficient then they are? In the five years she's been waitressing, Arianna has never been late to work, has never missed a day of work unless she's been sick or snowed in,has a clean employment record,been Employee of the month four years running with no complaints from customers or other wait staff.

HOWEVER this all changed when Mandy and Millie two long time waitresses returned from a four year break and started crabbing that their clientele was 'stolen' out from under their noses by a snot nosed little female dog.
