Ahhhhhhhhhh the holidays were just what I've wanted for the last four years: PEACEFUL! No one bothered to come over even though they said they were. For once in four years my maternal aunt,uncle and four kids didn't show up on my door step at two in the morning saying 'Are we too late? Did everyone else leave?' Leave? LEAVE? At Two thirty in the morning everyone is home in bed sleeping not at my small house! Where the duff would I put them all? There's one bedroom that has the pups in it and one across from the 'sun room' that we turned into our bedroom that has the excess stuff that hasn't been sorted through yet. Where the heck would we put six people? One of which will get up at a quarter to three and literally pace the floor wringing her hands while the other sits on the edge of the bed panicking while saying "What if Sarah and Rodney don't make it today? What if at eleven thirty they're still not here? What if they get into an accident? What if they're both in the hospital? What if no one shows up and we're the only ones here? What if Kris doesn't know Julia's a vegetarian?' how could I NOT know Julia's a vegetarian? She ends every single bloody email and text message with 'Don't forget that I don't eat meat nor do I eat anything associated with animals!'

Mine, quiet. It was more like just another day for me... ^^;
Mine don't really start till Saturday morning but i've got 2weeks off (apart from having to monitor the phones for mum's clinic and people who want a supplement topup for their prescriptions) so i'm looking forward to lots of nice experiences. i think i should try out a new gym class i don't normally get to do, swim, watch all the crap i've been putting off for the last 6months and finish that puzzle i've had since last January - the one i said i was going to finish in winter (hahahahahaahaaaa...hmmm...).
my cat starts the next decade of his life on tuesday so i've invited my nephew and his mum round to celebrate with home-made lasagne and a swim. my boy has been hit by a car, shot by a bullet and survived and had so many near misses we never expected to see him make it to 5, let alone 11.
taking said nephew and maybe a couple of pre-teens to a waterpark tuesday fortnight and having my gf and her family over for nachos and a swim...notice there's lots of swimming in the picture here...well, it's my folks pool and i don't normally entertain when they're home so i'm taking advantage of the fact.
plus gives me company and keeps me off the street. otherwise, i'd be scaring people with my vacant smile and wandering eyes. lol.

I'm happy if my immediate family shows up! I remember calling mom and saying on the topic of her sister-in-law "what if Kris doesn't know Julia's Vegetarian Lasagna Recipe?" to which she replied 'What the fudge are you talking about? I don't HAVE a Vegetarian Lasagna recipe! That blonde worry wart is probably thinking of the OTHER Julia her brother's wife not me! I've NEVER been a vegetarian!'
